~~~~~Good Bye California, Hello Oregon ~~~~~

We were in awe of the Oregon coast line the moment we set eyes on it. The beaches are unbelievely beautiful; wide and deep sandy beaches, with beautiful rock formations that were hard to resist photgraphing. We were told by one person that we must have seen it on the one sunny day in February. Well, any way you look at these beaches, they are fabulous! We are planninga trip back to discover more of the coastline and to explore the whole states.

Oregon has fabulous
bridges!

Oregon, such a beautiful state and I loved this scene with the ocean, the homes and cattle roaming in their pasture!

While driving, these vistas just keep getting better and better. As you can tell from the forground,
this was taken while driving (at 50 miles an hour). We just couldn't stop every time we saw beauty!!!

~~~ A few miles inland ~~~

These are the first views of a cut down Red Wood forrest. The photo on the right

is hard to see but I could see the valley with stumps in the foreground.

It was sad and beautiful at the same time.

Our visit to South Beach State Park, Newport, before going inland.

I thought this sign was particular funny because of the lost keys hanging on it.

Guess they took the message literally.

This beach, near Newport, is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, The expanse was so wide and so long that it seems like you could walk forever! We really want to come back one summer to enjoy it more than our one hour visit allowed.

I stood in the middle of the gorgeous beach and watched the sand blow around me. It was almost like it was flying from North to South. These 4 photos show the designs made by the wind blowing low on the sand. I took a video, which is so cool and I'm glad to have it.
