It was a beautiful drive from Seattle, heading over the
mountains to eastern Washington

The Summit
The only snow we saw since Albuquerque!
and it only lasted about 15 minutes, followed by beautiful scenery
and cloud formations on the other side of the mountains

My fascination with old buildings continues

Eastern Washington ~ Winerys & Clouds
and Walla Walla

I was amazed at the 4 flat formations at the bottom of these clouds.

We arrived in Walla Walla to be greeted by 3 critters
and Cathy & Woody!

Pinto Bean,  Boyfriend and Sweet Potato!

Walla Walla is known for the beautiful Victorian homes located throughout the town.
Cathy and Woody's beautiful home, shown here, is one beautiful example!
On our first full day, the four of us spent hours in the car touring this sweet town which, in 2011, USA Today selected Walla Walla as the friendliest small city in the United States. Here are a few more examples of the beautiful Victorian homes found around Walla Walla.

Other beautiful buildings, currently on the National Historical Registry, include
the main building at Whitman College and The Marcus Whitman Hotel
