Our 3 day drive from Philadelphia to Grand Junction
We passed many old wonderful homes that bordered I-70, and had lost their grand front lawns.
I particularly loved the porches on this home. It must have been lovely in its day!
We didn't stop to have a piece of the foot high pie... good thing, but I would have loved to
actually see one!!
The only bad weather was just outside of Kansas City

Thank you Uncle Irad for the huge box of sweet, very large, Grapefruits from Texas!!!
YUMMY!
Amanda and Lee joined us later that day for Christmas Dinner
Years ago a friend created very special Christmas wrapping paper for me using brown paper and pastels. There were 3 for Amanda and 3 for Amelia each showing their personality. Every Christmas I have wrapped presents using the paper and now about 20 years later they are getting tattered. For Christmas and my Birthday this year, they framed them for me ! The very best gift ever!

Happy New year 2016
New Years Morning
We love our family ! New Years Morning breakfast! Homemade pancakes!
and now the final move begins. Amanda and Lee are moving to Montrose permanently.
Lee's mom has been wonderful and the kids will all stay there till they move into their own place.
It's fitting that a little cat came to Amanda's bedroom window
that last morning as if Amanda's beloved cats, Izzy and Ellie, were saying goodbye!
It was so sweet!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now the next chapter of Amanda and Lee's life begins. A little baby to join their family in May. Hopefully, they will have found a home of their very own to bring the babe home to!
The Harry Potter themed room for the baby will be perfect!!
