31 State Street, Presque Isle. Maine
When John was told we were being trasnfered to Presque Isle, we thought 'Isle', must
be near the ocean, so we took the transfcer.  There he came home, we pulled out the
travel atlas, and, oh boy, found it way up north in 'The County'!!  What a shock,
1975 through September 1978, moving to Camden one week after Amanda was born,
I liked Presque Isle, I loved our Episcopal Church and met some wonderful people, including out close friends Arny and Laura Rodriquez.  And I loved working for a brillian orthorpeadic
doctor, Dr. Gordon Sommerville.  But I was very happy to move to Camden!
What really sold me on this home were the porch windows and the overall
size of this house. It was a wonderful 4 bedroom home with lots of space. Wish I could
have moved it to our current property!

Yellow and red Stainglass window in our entrance
hall. Loved it. The current owner added the  one

in the center.

A little Americana along the way
