Finally New Downstairs Windows!

The old door on the left is finally out and newFrench doors are in. 
I can't wait to have them open  all day!

What a difference these huge double hung windows make in terms of light now streaming
into the house, and how warm the home now is.  My most favorite time of the day is now
late afternoon, The Golden Glow in the Living Room is amazing;

The above two photos show the old and the new lower windows and door from outside.
You can really see the difference in size. So much more light will be shining in !
Upstairs windows will have to be tackled another time!

9/3/16 ~ A very sad Day and a very Happy Day for me.

My sweet old Piano is going to Piano Heaven! 

In place of it will be Floor to Ceiling shelves for all my treasured Books

and a seat box under the window!!
