January 25, 2015: Discharged and relaxed
John was told that the only cure for Pleurisy is time. He was given medication for pain and was discharged around 3pm. He was also told that he should resume normal activities - in fact it was good for him to remain active!
We spend the rest of the day enjoying our time with such amazing friends.
And the wonderful Blueberry Bread that baked by Pat.
So Good!

I made one more quick visit to see Aunt Lulu and then John & I decided to follow doctors orders and resume normal activity so we drove to three sites: The V-Bar-V Heritage Site, Montezumas Well and Bell Rock (near the Carberry's hone). There was minimal walking so that by the time we reached Bell Rock, John wasn't too tired and we were able to take a nice long walk to the base and back. It was a nice afternoon compared to the 24 hours before. That evening we enjoyed a wonderful Chinese dinner with our good friends..
It was a very nice day and I was so happy that John was feeling well
enough to enjoy more of Sedona.
A Rock Art Legacy from the Southern Sinagua of the Beaver Creek Community
So COOL!!!
So COOL!!!
The V-Bar-V Heritage Site is the largest known petroglyph site in the Verde Valley of central Arizona, and one of the best-preserved. The rock art site consists of 1,032 petroglyphs in 13 panels.....The petroglyphs were created by Southern Sinagua residents between about 1150 and 1400 AD. The site was known to early American settlers, and became part of the historic V-Bar-V ranch around 1907. The Beaver Creek Rock Art Style: Rock art is one type of archaeological data that can be used to identify prehistoric cultures and time periods. Sinaguq Sunwatchers has a presentation that provides the results of the survey for the Winter Solstice as well as the month of January and February.

Montezuma Well

There are cliff dwelling perched along the rim of the well. It is located about 11 miles northeast of Montezuma Castle (a stop for our next trip).
