December 26 ~ 31, 2014 ~ More Celebrations

December 26th:  Happy Birthday Dave Benjamin!!

Celebrating Dave's birthday with Heather, Amanda and the entire Benjamin family at Sergios Italian Restaurant Friday night.... a nice deviation from Turkey!   The girls and their brother, Nick, were perfect during dinner and then had so much fun dancing around on the Christmas Tree stage and playing with Balloon animals and swords!  And of course we had to take a photo of all our new boots!

December 31st:  New Years Eve and My 65th Birthday

Act my age?  My real age? Are you Crazy!

It's always been fun for me to wake up New Years Eve!! As a child I would have sleep-overs with my friends from Grapevine.  Remember those Cathy?  And then my parents would take us to the Cotton Bowl Parade in Dallas ~ Such good memories.  Now, I get to spend New Years Eve with my beautiful daughters and their families.  This year Amelia met us for breakfast at the Dream Cafe ~ one of our favorites ~ and I certainly enjoyed their very tasty Breakfast Tacos!

Next John and I went to the 'Talk of the Town Antique Mall' where we love to walk around!  We just could not believe that we actually found 3 Waterbury Clocks.  I could only authenticate one - The Waterbury Pelican Regular Clock. So, of course, we bought it! Once I get it home, I'll give the wood a good oiling and we will have it adjusted.

And since downtown Grand Junction is one of my favorite places, I decided to treat myself to a few more hours of shopping while John relaxed.  Dinner that evening was at Enzo's Italian Restaurant where the food was beyond fabulous and the presents were beyond wonderful ~ Thank you so much everyone~ Unfortunately, Amelia had to leave dinner a little early to go to work at the Airport!  She was so missed for the rest of the New Years Celebration. John, Amanda, Lee, Oz, Lexie, and friends spent the evening playing games and celebrating the Midnight hour at Amanda's home.

Happy New Year!
